A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Describe what you see

A coffee cup with a brick colored plate with shadows and lights, the inside of the cup is white, some roasted coffee beans pretending to come out of the cup and scattered on the black surface, probably a table.

Describe what you feel

The brick color calls my attention, I have a preference for earth colors, the photograph shows a nice combination of colors, when I see the roasted coffee beans I remember the smell of freshly ground coffee.

Write a story or poem about what you think is happening.

On the sidewalks of the commercial area it is now common to see men selling ground coffee. They set up with a manual grinder to which they adapt a motor to convert it into an electric coffee grinder, which makes their work easier.

They place an improvised sign made from a piece of recycled cardboard, on which they write "Freshly ground coffee for sale". Passersby are inclined to buy it because they can observe when the coffee is ground in front of them, verifying its purity.

This practice was not seen before, it has emerged as a form of work, an invention of the people to obtain the daily sustenance in the middle of the country's situation.

The creativity and good spirits of the people in the face of adverse circumstances is evident and that is worthy to be valued.
