A PERFECT HEART 2
"FOR the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, TO SHOW HIMSELF STRONG ON BEHALF OF THOSE WHOSE HEART IS LOYAL TO HIM. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”
2 Chronicles 16:9 (NKJV)
• The state of your Heart, your thoughts and intentions.
(i) A rebellious Heart. This is a self-willed and strong-willed Heart.
a. This is a person who wants to do things in his or her own way.
b. This heart does not want to consider God's Will, but his or her own will or opinion.
c. Such Heart leans on his or her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5,6).
d. Such does not want their thoughts or plans to be interrupted by God.
(ii) A Suspicious Heart. A person with a suspicious Heart would not trust, or believe, in others.
a. Such a person reads meaning to whatever is done to him or her.
b. Even If love is shown or expressed to such, because their hearts are not pure, they would still be suspicious (Titus 1:15). Thus, they are reserved!
(iii) A Vengeful Heart. This is a person who would like to avenge by himself or herself on whatever wrong done against him or her. God's Word says, Vengeance is of God (Romans 12:19).
(iv) A Manipulative Heart. This is a heart, someone, who manipulated others in a clever or an underhand way.
a. This is a heart that wants to control others, using his or her influence, power, or whatever, to do it.
b. Such a person says, If my counsel is not taken, whatever to be done would not work out well or succeed.
c. Such wanted to frustrate others because his or her counsel or opinion was not accepted or considered. Saying, because I was not allowed to be involved, the thing would not work out well, the people involved would not succeed.
(v) A right Heart. This is a heart that fears God, wants to do His Will, and whatever is right. This trembles at God's Word and Will (Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 66:2).
• Characteristics of a right or good Heart.
a. Quick to believe. Such does not doubt the ability and the integrity of God. He believes in God's Word and honours His servants.
b. Quick to repent. Such easily repented of any Sin found in his or her life. Those with such a heart argued not with God, when they are convicted of their Sins, or confronted by a fellow believer, or the leadership, on whatever wrong they had done.
DAVID was called a man after God's Heart (1 Samuel 13:14). He is a man who reveres God. This came into play when he was confronted of his Sin, what he did wrong. When he slept with Uriah's wife and arranged a bloody death for the husband. He was remorseful and repented, he did not argue with the Prophet, Nathan, who came to tell him (2 Samuel 12:7-13).
WHEREAS when Saul missed it, disobeyed God, in not killing or destroying the Amalekites completely; he was still arguing, saying he had obeyed God, whilst he spared their King and came back with sheep which he said he wanted to use for sacrifices (1 Samuel 15:18-21).
THE Sin committed by David could be considered to be more grievous than that of Saul, but the Heart condition of David when he was confronted, was not like that of Saul. David was remorseful and repented of the Sin. The contrition was there, in him!
c. Quick to forgive. This is another characteristic of a right heart. A Believer with a right heart would not hesitate to forgive, when offended. Because the Word of God says it (Luke 17:3,4). Such is willing to let go, and allow God to have His Way.
HE or she would rather allow God to avenge on his or her behalf than going after whoever offended them (Luke 18:7,8; Romans 12:19).
d. Submission. Submissiveness is one of the characteristics of a right Heart.
A BELIEVER with a right heart is willing to do whatever God wanted them to do. THE person who had a right heart wants to embrace God's Will and cooperate with Him to do whatever He, God, wanted to do in or through his or her life.
• Note: If you are having delays, complications in whatever you are doing, and hindrances on your way; you would have to check your heart towards God and your fellow humans.
- If your Heart is full of offenses; congested or clogged and dirty, such can hinder the flow of God's blessings and power in your life. When God's virtue or power is hindered, there cannot be progress.
• It is my prayer that you will experience God's mercy and favour in Jesus' name.
- He will show Himself strong on your behalf in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any sickness in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
- You are completely made whole in the mighty name of Jesus.
Peace!
