In my case my father did make it difficult, and I will never forgive him. But I suppose that each person has different situations, and different way of life, and that is why we feel things differently.
But you wrote "if your parents are NOT difficult". What you say now your father was difficult.
Yes, because I was referring to the fact that when you have difficult parents, things are different.
