Since I am a fan of long-distance running I noticed an interesting fact in records progression on 10,000 meters.

On June 8th, 2021 Letesenbet Gidey established a new world record on that distance with the amazing result of

29:01.03

This is almost the same result as the great Emil Zátopek showed on November 1st, 1953

29:01.6

in fact, Gidey would have beaten him in a photo-finish by three one thousand's of a second.
