CONTEST: A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words - 11/19/2021

This picture is supposed to provoke compassion. It depicts a lady entering the staircase of a spooky house, from both sides of her hands stretching to her with apparently not friendly intentions. A picture intends to induce the impression that the lady is scared. That’s why she’s covering her face with her hand. She as if guarding herself against the punch, a gunshot, or a forceful grab.

The symbolic meaning of that picture seems to be the danger that awaits a woman in the modern world. She wants to get up on the career ladder, but the scary hands (most likely men’s hands) try to stop her, scare her or destruct her from her career goals and prevent her movement up.

However, to my taste, the picture looks like the frame from a porn cartoon, where, as soon as the lady gets upstairs and exchanges some silly dialog with the men or women, she would get undressed and start getting down with the hardcore sex scene.
