It has been a long time since I received that surprise and I thought that it would not happen to me again. I received the first bill again for a service that I never used: an electricity bill in my name but with a different address than the one I live in. The first thing I did was call the electric service company and after spending about 40 minutes trying to communicate with them I had to overcome the annoyance of an operator who asked me many questions and did not give me solutions or explanations of why it was happening to me. this. The operator only told me that I had to pay the bill because it was in my name and that after I did it, I could file a claim. It seems that the company has a policy of pay first and claim later.

I had to stop doing the day's work that I was very busy to go to the electricity company, and I don't even tell you all the difficulties I had to overcome to get to that place due to the quarantine situation in which we find ourselves circulation and access to most places is restricted, and if you do not have a pass that explains why you are circulating on the street, you run the risk of being detained and having to overcome a hard time. With all the annoyance I had, I went to the company to have to wait two hours for them to attend to me, because you have to go through a whole process of measuring your temperature and all that so that later they write you down on a list and they call you for your identity document number.

Two hours later I was sitting in front of the executive to whom I commented that I was receiving this first bill in my name but with another address and that I never lived in that place. After spending about 45 minutes sitting and the agent making calls and verifying data on the computer, he finally concluded that the system had been wrong and that that first invoice did not correspond to me.

So this time I beat the system, well, rather, I did not beat it but it was fair that it will not pay for something that did not correspond to me.

I think that more care should be taken with this type of procedure and with charging people who do not have debts from others, I suppose it was a hacker who altered the invoice and put my name in the system so that they will charge me the debt that he had.

The people responded that they were going to put that into investigation and not to worry that I had nothing to do with it.
