5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: shelf
Suitcase And Books
-I just want a sofa bed and a shelf for books.
I told my husband 40 years ago, for some reason he did not agree, he bought a dining room set, a display case with a lot of glass for glasses, cups, plates.
I also buy a set of furniture, they are very heavy, to move them every time he wants to clean the floor. And a Louis XV bedroom set.
All this heavy and impractical furniture was used as a resting place, to share with friends and even as a bed for my children and their friends, my husband who was never at home now enjoys them since the confinement and I...
In fact my space is more between the kitchen where I have a chair and my children's room with basic beds and lots of light. It has always been like this.
My books are stored in a large suitcase, I don't want a bookcase anymore.
I think every day I need less things and I just want a bag to put some things in case something bad happens and I have time to escape.
Drinking water, a flashlight and a pair of boots that I save for this occasion, when a tragedy occurs there is always glass on the ground, so I think a pair of boots is necessary. Also a copy of the documents and the only book I will take will be my Bible...

Still have a bookcase always wanted my own library just like I wanted my own black room and oven to bake my pottery and sculpture. I ended up giving away most of what I had. My rucksack is packed in case I have to leave, boots are at the front door.
