Resolution

These days, we keep our distance, lest we
touch and cause the other to break.

Relief, to have the world in its pace as we knew it, is a luxury.

We slowed to a standstill, inside our homes, restless.

In the distance, the whisper of waves and palm trees.
An endless stretch of velvety sand.

I long for deep blue waters and the company they keep.
