5 Minute Freewrite: Thursday - Prompt: stiff fingers
Mi abuela María junto a mi tio Alexis el día de su boda
No es momento de tristezas
pero los recuerdos llegaron hasta mi
esos dedos que sotuvieron tantas manos
y acariciaron mis cabellos
ya no están a nuestro lado
y faltó tiempo para apreciarlos.
La naturaleza no te regaló hijos
pero la vida hasta nietos te entregó
y en cada bienvenida
no podias faltar tú.
Nos quisiste como nunca
y nos extrañaste desde siempre
y sé que desde el cielo
tú estás presente.
This is no time for sadness
but the memories reached me
those fingers that held so many hands
and caressed my hair
they are no longer by our side
and there was no time enough to hold them.
Nature did not give you children
but life even grandchildren gave you
and in every life that arrives
you were here to say welcome.
You loved us like never before
and you missed us forever
and I know that from heaven
you are always be present.
