SBI for Your Posts Through the Freewriters Community
Since yesterday, we have a Freewriters Community. While I still don't know what all the ins and outs of the communities are and will be, I think it is a great first step to gather the Freewrites in one place.
From what I can tell so far, you have to log in to the community and use the posting function there for your post to show up as a community post. You can use the hashtag hive-161155 and your post will show up in the search, but not on the community page

By the way you can post to the community portal using SteemPeak if the first tag is hive-161155 (it has to be the first tag, so you can't do this for any dap that puts it's tag first).
I am not sure if your post will show up if you haven't joined the community. That will be another experiment.
Please help us put together a list of daps that will work for posting and using hive-161155 as the first tag.
To join the community, you need to do the following:
- Go to https://beta.steemit.com/
- Sign in with your steem name and posting key
- Go to explore communities
- Join the Freewriters
We love for you to post through or to the community!
To encourage and reward you for going through the extra effort of using the community platform or using hive-161155 as your first tag, we want to reward you with SBI. For the next seven days - until Sunday evening Pacific Time - you will receive 1 SBI for each freewrite or freewrite related post you publish using the community page or doing whatever it takes for your post to show up in the community.
Since we are having a major bully on the blockchain @mmmmkkkk311 who is trying to destroy Steem by downvoting all kinds of good content creators for being part of SBI - a Basic Income Initiative run on the blockchain, I will buy the SBI for you all at the same time. He will downvote people for buying it - hopefully not anymore the people receiving it.
But I feel strongly that we can't allow bullies to control us and I hope you all feel the same way.

Earning SBI is a great incentive for freewriters to start getting used to posting through your hive on beta.steemit.com.

So all the hives are insisting that we use their tag first. Some don't consider us for prizes or boosts unless we do that. I've already had enough of this hive business. It seems to have set up tugs of war that I do not like. Blech. More negativity on the blockchain.
That said, we've learned to put up with the gnats downvoting us, maybe we can find a way to navigate this new behavior modification device. (Like I said, blech.)
Maybe @felt.buzz, who knows things, can answer this question: If we post in @freewritehouse's beta site but use, for instance, PHC's hive tag first, will the post show up in both hives?
I tried that and it doesn't. But don't worry, our contests are still going to be Freewrite House contests and everyone who participates can benefit. We are just doing this first week special to let people know that we are here. Right now, I see the hives only as a declaration that you are part of it and to keep content together. So, for example, if someone does four posts a day and one of them is a Freewrite, they could use the tag for that. Actually, we don't want people to use it if it isn't a freewrite.
But is there are lots of communities, it might become more of an issue. We shall see how it goes.
If a contest is run that posting through the community is one of the requirements, I don't see that as a problem. It still shows up everywhere else but it is easier to find for the person running the contest. Believe it or not, even if the entries are placed in the comments, it can take some hunting to find them all. I see that as an advantage.
That said, it is all new and time will tell if it is useful or not.
