A name other than seaweed

Hello there friends, how are you doing?
I would be posting a poem for everyone as regards the prompt.

Nature and it's ways,
It is wonder no doubt,
But who names them,
Seeing the name 'seaweed' for the first time,
Is quite huge for me,
Which makes me thinking if it is related to weed,
I guess we learn every day,
To the purpose of the seaweed,
I feel like seeing it in person,
But time will tell.
