Stripes are lines that cut across a plain part or even a stripped part. Stripes can be natural or artificial, the natural stripes can be cool. It would seem like the natural stripes cannot be done away with because it comes from nature, hence it is authentic. An example of the natural stripe is the one you have attached to the tiger's skin. That's a good example of a natural stripe. Stripes looks odd when they are put together, that is different colors of stripe used alongside themselves, it can be disastrous. But stripes looks good on plain colour. Stripes are good, especially when you use them very well.
