A polarized world?

in Freewriters3 years ago

I have been thinking about this idea, more than a few months ago.

Yes, how polarized the world can become on issues of inappropriate relevance, and how it can become colorful and nuanced on unimportant issues.

(I speak of polarization, when we see things from only 2 sides, i.e. only black and white).

Example.

Recently there was a question about a law allowing abortion.
2 months later, due to the repudiation that I had among the society, I had to shade it with other colors so that the decision would not look so drastic and would have more acceptance among the rest of the society.

So far, no one has said anything about it, we consider that I had the desired effect, or so it seemed.

Obviously, this issue is less relevant in the eyes of some, since it affects us as personally as it does those who are concerned.

But, there are things that are really important, and for which we might have a different point of view when we are the ones affected.

What am I talking about?

Imposing our criteria on what is right or wrong, or basically, polarizing what we, according to our criteria, think is right or wrong.

And in this regard, there are many examples that are even a sample button that can help to understand why this can make this vision dangerous, conflictive, reckless.

A few days ago, I have seen programs about the point of view towards women, or the impulse that has been given to Feminism.

It should be noted that my opinion is quite impartial in this regard.

But the idea that is presented is that women should have more relevance in any area of life, more representation, more consideration.

It should be noted that looking at this idea from only one pole, black or white, can cause conflicts.

And hasn't it already?

Yes of course, and everything is due to the fact that surely the promoters of this idea have only seen one side of their intentions.

When I saw one of these programs, or at least its beginning, I said: "These people are really right, we have to support this ideology".

Later I saw how a group of these people attacked police and other police officers in order to assert their rights.

"Wait a minute, haven't there been women who have been presidents? Or who are businesswomen, or who are chancellors?"....

There I saw the other pole presented.

And not necessarily black or white.

But the pole of reasoning, or the other colors that there are when it comes to making any decision, or seeing any decision, cause or idea.

I believe that, to some extent, seeing things from other points of view, from other areas, would surely make the world, our world, a better place.

As long as emotions are involved (frar for what might be) there's no way for reason.
No women feels or is the same. No black or white person is. Elderly have an opinion and aren't senile and if you are not joining the left it doesn't mean you are an extremist or terrorist.

Of course, you are very right.
