Brave Launches Brave Talk for Privacy-Preserving Video Conferencing - Brave's Blog
( September 22, 2021; Brave's Blog )
Today, Brave launched Brave Talk, a new privacy-focused video conferencing feature built directly into the Brave browser. Brave Talk enables video calls without sacrificing privacy. Video calling is now an important tool for work, school, and social activities, and Brave Talk allows users to collaborate and connect online in a private-by-design environment.
To use Brave Talk, users can initiate a call directly through the Brave desktop browser by opening a new tab and clicking the Brave Talk camera icon, or simply visit talk.brave.com from the Brave browser on desktop or mobile. While calls need to be initiated from Brave, users can invite others to join calls from any modern browser.
Brave users can launch free 1:1 calls with chat, screen sharing, and video conferencing. A $7 per month plan allows "up to hundreds of participants".

From another article, I came to know that free users need to enable Brave Rewards in Brave Browser to make free calls using Talk. Brave Talk does not work without it. Brave does not mention this in the announcement. Although Brave rewards can make someone earn ‘real’ money through the supposed privacy preserving ads, some users may found it all goofy, and not going to try it.
Good point. Thanks. There are some potential users who would be put off by this requirement.
Looks interesting for us to try..
Even though brave ensures the security of privacy data, of course we must ensure that none of our personal data and activities are leaked. In my opinion, it would be better if things that are very private are discussed when meeting in person, not discussing them online. Thanks
Thanks for the comment! I definitely agree with this.
This looks interesting. Has anyone here tried it yet? I'm always trying to remain more private
I set up a call between my cell phone and my computer, just to test it out. I haven't used it "for real", though.
From what I see they are focusing on privacy, since it has its own browser and can be used jointly with other browsers, the approach they give it is not bad at all. I have to test it to see how it works. Thanks for the topic.
Ohh .. I had Brave installed but I had a problem that my computer used to get very slow when I used it, it is interesting that Brave takes this initiative so that it can compete with the big ones, although I do not know if Google The browser has that same function that it would have to check.
By the way, I am the husband of @ruzmaira, very pleased to meet him, she recommended me to follow you, although I am not as smart as she hehehe she is the one who likes science and technology issues a lot.
Too bad that you had problems with slowness when using Brave. Over the years, it has become my favorite browser.
Nice to meet you, too. I was wondering if you might be her husband.
Hello, I was surprised that you mentioned me and I see that my husband paid attention to reading your article, he is not a lover of science but I have realized that he likes everything that is related to the universe and obviously football. :(
Greetings.
How do we know, the security of our data is really safe?
I think, all of us want the security of personal data. I will suggest to my friends to use brave. I feel disappointed with the various apps that we really need, but they leak and sell our personal data. Thank you very much for the information.
I find it very interesting, the Brave Browser seems safe and reliable, I use it for topics related to cryptocurrencies and I am satisfied, so Brave Talk will be a success without a doubt.
Brave browser can be an alternative for the security of our personal data in surfing. I think it's worth our use
