Document dump shows that Big Tech is most definitely censoring Americans at the behest of Big Government
We’ve been hearing in recent weeks that members of Congress on both sides of the aisle are finally getting serious about busting up big tech monopolies and going after their constant law-breaking, but new information revealed in documents uncovered just recently prove that’s a lot of hot air.
It’s not just a left-right issue. Whether Republicans or Democrats, there is an actual written agreement between Big Tech and at least one state government to censor people who are critical of politicians. The Deep State documents are now a matter of public court record, made available by Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai. And according to the court record, the judge presiding over the case has insisted on the documents being entered into the public record because they are absolutely revolutionary.
Cases like these reflect the need for decentralized platforms. I will follow up on this news to see the end of it. Thanks for sharing.
I share a lot of these kinds of articles here because it is one of the main reasons that I created Steem Links; to have a place where we can be free to express what other platforms do not allow us to express.
I didn't review the actual documents, but assuming this is true, it should be a really big deal. The argument has always been that "big tech" can censor what it wants, as a private entity. If the censorship is driven by government, behind the scenes, that's a scandal of massive proportions.
Unfortunately, the dysfunctional American media will ignore it, because they believe that it benefits them.
I agree with @kwadjobonsu that this highlights the need for decentralization. Bureaucrats always want to have choke points where they can exercise their control.
I also did not read the documents, but if a Judge has made those records public, and names are named, the media will not have much choice but to cover the situation when it comes time for elections. Political sharks, in the opposition, would surely use such a scandal to win votes. Unless, of course, all parties are bought out, which is certainly possible. However, Dr. Shiva is also a high level politician, so this could get interesting!
