Dutch eggplant in Gayo land is an ingredient for making chili sauce. This food is served as an accompaniment to rice. Of course it will increase your appetite.

The Gayo tribe in Aceh has a small amount of agar as a mainstay sauce. Chop agar with simple ingredients, namely Dutch eggplant, chili, shallots, and shrimp paste. Before the Dutch eggplant, all ingredients are mashed or pulverized. Only the last Dutch eggplant because the texture is softer.

Dutch eggplant (Solanum betaceum) is usually served with fish such as depik fish taken from Lake Laut Tawar or can be replaced with other fish such as anchovies and others.
