Ixora coccinea is a species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae. It is a common flowering shrub native to South India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. It has become one of the most popular flowering shrubs in South Florida parks and landscapes. It is the national flower of Suriname.
