In India, tigers venture into cities to hunt dogs

A surveillance camera captured footage of a tiger hunting a dog in a residential area of the city of Chattarpur in central India, and such incidents are frequent in this country after the number of tigers increased by 60% between 2014 and 2018. According to news published by the French "Le Parisien", the tiger chased the dog in an effort to kidnap it in a terrifying scene that was captured by the CCTV camera and published.

In the footage, a tiger can be seen jumping over a house gate to chase a pet dog, and a few seconds later, the tiger appears again with the dog between its fangs. The paper points out that this type of accident is not rare in India, where the number of tigers has increased. These predators are transported roaming the streets, chasing dogs regularly, to protect their animals from this pest.
