Manchester United again failed to win in their third pre-season match. MU twice threw away the advantage so that it was held by Brentford with a final score of 2-2.

The match between Manchester United and the Premier League promoted team was held at Old Trafford, on Thursday morning WIB. Anthony Elanga and Andreas Pereira scored goals for the Red Devils, while Shandon Baptiste and Brian Mbuemo scored Brentford's replies.

United started the game promising after Elanga had taken the lead in the 12th minute. Aaron Wan-Bissaka crossed from the right, which Elanga finished with a first-time shot into the bottom corner of the Brentford goal.

However, MU's advantage did not last long. Brentford then hit back less than 10 minutes later to make it 1-1, the scoreline ended until halftime,

After the restart, United were back in front after Pereira scored a sensational goal in 50 minutes. Jesse Lingard's shot was parried by David Raya and the ball was secured by Ethan Pinnock with a header.

Outside the box Andreas Pereira met the ball with a volley that bounced over the bar before nestling into the Brentford net. United lead 2-1.

Brentford again showed resistance to ensure the match ended in a draw. In the 78th minute, Brentford scored his second goal through Mbeumo's feet after maximizing Finley Stevens' pass, the score was changed to 2-2 until the final whistle was blown.

Manchester United plan to have two friendly matches against second division Preston North End and Everton before the start of the competitive season.
