Kaolin Lake (Kulong Biru) is located in Nibung Village, Koba District, Central Bangka Regency, ± 60 Km from Depati Amir Airport and about ± 15 Km from Koba, the capital of the Central Bangka Regency. By land route, it can be reached in ± 60 minutes from Pangkal Pinang City. This tourist attraction is supported by tourism facilities such as toilets, food courts, large parking lots and souvenir shops. Kaolin Lake is often referred to as Kulong Biru, originating from the former tin ore mining which has long been abandoned. The advantage of this lake is that the air remains fresh without being disturbed by the smell of sulfur because it is not a mountain crater.

Arriving at this lake, a traveler will be greeted with a stretch of beautiful blue and clear water and white hills that can spoil the eyes of visitors who see it. Visitors can also walk along the pedestrian path or wooden bridge that is connected to Kaolin Lake (Kulong Biru) and it will give an extraordinary sensation. The clarity of the lake water, which is Tosca blue, will be a great contrast combined with the texture of the white sandy mound, transformed into small hills that surround the Kaolin Lake area. The color of this water will vary according to air temperature and sunshine. Visitors can capture every happy moment with the closest people at an interesting selfie spot in every corner of the lake (kulong) that is not found anywhere else. The panoramic view of Kaolin Lake will remind us of the White Crater Ciwidey, Bandung. The difference is, the strong smell of sulfur does not waft from Lake Kaolin

It should be noted, however, that kaolin is a type of clay mineral that contains aluminum silicate. This material is usually used as one of the ingredients for making porcelain, cloth, paper, toothpaste, and cosmetics. The land around Kaolin Lake is white, because it contains these minerals.
Kulong Biru is unique and attractive so that it has attracted the attention of many domestic and foreign tourists and has become a mainstay tourist destination in the Central Bangka Regency.

So guys. that's enough for today until next time!
