Hello friends of the Lakshmi community, how are you all, I hope you are fine friends. Today I want to write about a unique animal, namely the civet, I hope you like it.

The Sulawesi civet has a body length of between 650 mm to 715 mm, a tail length of between 445 mm to 540 mm and a weight of between 3.8kg to 6.1kg
The body color is predominantly brown and the lower body color is pale with thin brown spots on the sides and lower back.

short hair but grows evenly throughout the body
the muzzle grows whiskers adult size can reach the size of a dog.

Like most other civets, the Sulawesi civet is solitary, active at night (nocturnal) and does more activities in the trees. So the best time to observe this animal is at night.

Information regarding reproduction of the Sulawesi civet is still incomplete. The Sulawesi civet usually hunts birds, small mammals (rats/rodentia), insects and several types of fruit

Observers can jump Sulawesi civets in primary, secondary forests and community forests up to a height of 2600 meters above sea level.

Sulawesi civets have recently been recorded in the northern, central and southeastern parts of Sulawesi in the areas of Bogani Nani Wartabone NP, Rawa Aopa Watumohai NP, SM Tanjung Peropa and TWA Mangolo.

It is relatively difficult to find out the whereabouts of this animal without jumping directly because the Sulawesi civet is an animal that is very sensitive to human disturbance. Footprints are also relatively difficult to find because this wildlife is mostly in the trees.

Thank you, I hope it is useful to increase our knowledge, my greetings @teukurizky
