I guess it depends on the rates of said country that person is situated in, for many the rates that Steem offers in general can actually be better than those rates of certain banks, especially if also posting, and so if steem already offers a decent value people can next delegate said steem for a even better deal, but sure like the banks those getting the delegations will make more profit from it then those who delegate.
That's precisely said. The banks, moreover, have very different fees and interest rates even within one country.
