I feel the same way the less they hold the better it is for the people, also I don't understand why the hold so much of it when they keep telling us "the people" we are not allowed to have any.
I think the most of the politicians and government employees are just puppets who are told what to do. As the saying, if they were smarter they would be in the private sector instead.
It is quite custom governments and politicians in general do the opposite of what they tell, especially prior elections. I've trusted our government few times in my past, always a mistake.
There is little doubt that politicians are running the show, they are just the frontmen that people see and hail their abuse at, the real decision makers hide behind the politicians pulling their strings. For me I never trusted them, 1 because as a child not much of it made sense, 2 because the grown ups around me would often mentioned how they had been lied to and 3 history mostly proves our leaders cannot be trusted.
