Iguanas like to perch on tree branches hanging over the water. So if there is a predator, the iguana will dive into the water and swim away. Apart from that, iguanas also only come down from trees when they enter mating season, lay eggs, or change tree perches.
This animal can use its tail to defend itself from attacks by other animals by wagging and hitting it. Like other types of lizards, iguanas can break off their tails to trick enemies and can grow again within a year, although not as long as before.
