"Watching Avatar (movie) while trading in Ionomy" (#blurtreviews contribution)

in LAKSHMI4 years ago

Here's the thing about trading in Ionomy, which is a smaller exchange than those of Binance or even Bittrex. The movement of trading is not as fast-moving as those bigger ones. In Ionomy, there are times that my orders don't get filled. While there are times that the trades are moving much faster than usual, most of the time was not.

Today and the past few days, trading Blurt tokens feel like waiting for the next sequel of my favorite movie. It takes a lot of time.

Since these times tend to get boring, I might as well do something while still checking on the status of my orders. That's when watching movies that I already watched is very helpful. Usually, I would like to stay focus on the movie but not this time.

I noticed a good spike in the price of Blurt that just happened a few hours ago.

Someone bought the sell orders from 115 Sats to 130 Sats which brought the price up by 13.16%

While the highest buy order is currently at 108 Sats.

The latest trade that happened a while ago has opened an opportunity to earn some Blurt tokens by trading between the difference of buying & selling orders.

Nothing big has happened yet but I'm hoping that something will turn up and fill some orders.

So, while waiting for that to happen then why not wait for it while having fun watching Avatar. It's James Cameron's masterpiece.

It's my all-time favorite movie.

The Story

The story is compelling.

This is the kind of movie that I love watching. The main character develops from "zero to hero". A venture to a new world where Jake Sully knows nothing about. He was burdened by his paralyzed legs and is stuck in a difficult life situation. Due to the death of his brother, he was offered to take the position that his brother left.

In his journey to the world of Pandora, he was repeatedly tested by the dangers that this new place brought to him.

What made this journey interesting is the change of heart while in his mission. He is supposed to infiltrate the native's culture and learn how humans can take over their home. While in his mission, he fell in love with Neytiri; she is the daughter of the leader of the Omaticaya. The feeling was mutual between them.

Also, Jake was accustomed to the culture and felt deeply connected with the Omaticayan people. That's when Jake realized that his fighting for the wrong nation and have a change of heart. A new mission, fight together with the Omaticayans.

The Picture

It's a CGI masterpiece!

The picture was convincing to make me wonder... are we really alone in this Universe?

The quality of the visual effects is consistent all throughout the movie. There's not a single where I felt bored. Every element of the scenes was well thought out by the designers and directors.

Favorite Scene

I do have a lot of heart-stopping moments but there's one scene where everything was concluded. It was when Jake Sully became Toruk Makto. That's the part of the movie when Jake was fully accepted by the Omaticayan Clan. Also, that's the part when he is faced with the greatest adversary of his life.

Last Note

Although the movie was created 11 years ago, the quality is still considered as a benchmark by other films of this genre. This movie literally set the bar for a whole decade. It's not a wonder why this is my all-time favorite movie. It would only take another Avatar movie to change my mind.

That we shall see on December 16, 2022, which is the planned release date of Avatar 2.
