The owner of a Facebook social media account with the account name Dede Iskandar uploaded a sentence that ignited the emotions of the teachers in Garut Regency. In his own upload, he mentioned that during the Covid-19 pandemic the teacher received a blind salary.
In his upload, Dede said that teachers should not be given salary because schools during the Covid-19 pandemic were closed.
"Nagara is blind, i.e. mah mahohoh we sakola on vacation, the teacher of nage is doing in meaj karasaeun sarua kaladian (The state is paying blind salaries, then schools are closed, teachers should also not be paid to participate in feeling hunger)," wrote Dede in a media account. its social.
Facebook social media account with the name Dede Iskandar itself has not been found, but the screen shots circulated among teachers since last week.
Asep Sopian, a junior high school teacher in Garut admitted that he was very insulted and did not accept the upload of the Dede Iskandar account. What Dede wrote on his Facebook account, according to him, had no basis at all.
"We are still giving lessons online to children. Said who is blind salary. He does not feel the difficulty of making materials to teach online," Asep said, Tuesday (7/28).
The teachers themselves, called Asep, were even more hurt by Dede Iskandar's comments in the comments section of the upload. In the comments column, Dede even said that it was better to be a villain than school.
For this upload, Asep requested that Dede apologize openly, because the upload hurt all teachers in Indonesia.
"If he apologizes, we will convey it. But the apology will not stop the legal process. We will continue to report about the upload as a deterrent effect," he said.

Dede Iskandar came to the Garut PGRI Building to provide clarification on Tuesday (28/7). Welcoming his arrival, hundreds of teachers had gathered since the morning. Teachers who come not only from Garut, some also come from Bandung, Tasikmalaya, and even Ciamis.
The Chairman of the Garut PGRI, Mahdar Suhendar said, the gathering of the teachers in the PGRI Building was because they felt insulted by Dede Iskandar's upload. His side, in the beginning, would mediate between Dede Iskandar and the teacher representatives, but because the number of teachers who attended was very large, the mediation process at the PGRI Garut Building could not be carried out.
"Teachers are still human. We also have to protect the security of him (Dede Iskandar). He has apologized but the teachers still want to be prosecuted," Mahdar said.
He mentioned that on Saturday (7/25), the older brother of Dede Iskandar had come to him to apologize. Dede Iskandar's own brother is known to be an honorary teacher.
"His brother also did not accept the upload of his sister. Because he was also the same teacher," he explained.
