6 Covid-19 Positive Health Workers Samarinda Regional 'Hospital Abdul Wahab Sjahranie' Stop Receives Patients
Six health workers (Nakes) at AW Syachranie Hospital in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, were reportedly exposed to Covid-19. Sixth, now undergoing independent isolation. Not yet known the source of transmission is clear.
"There are 6 of our officers, who confirmed Covid-19 today. Because of transmission, it is still under investigation," said the Head of Installation, Public Relations and PKRS of AW Syachranie Hospital Samarinda, Dr. Arysia Andhina, in an explanation received by merdeka.com, Yesterday (7/28) ).
Arysia explained, the six officers now undergo a process of independent isolation. The case has also been reported to the Health Service. However, the incident temporarily impacted medical services.
"The service is permanent. But do not accept new patients (in the ICCU and ICU service rooms), until the sterilization is complete, and the old patient is finished (treatment)," said Arysia.
Meanwhile, in a virtual explanation in Samarinda this afternoon, the Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force launched, as of today East Kalimantan recorded a total of 1,250 positive confirmed cases of Covid-19.
"There were 66 new positive confirmed cases today, in 4 districts and 2 cities in East Kalimantan," said East Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Handler Andi Muhammad Ishak.
Andi explained, also as of today, there were 2,268 suspected cases which were still awaiting the swab examination process in the Covid-19 laboratory. Meanwhile, 66 cases if specified there are 16 cases each in Kutai Kartanegara district, Paser district, and Balikpapan city.
"Also in the district of West Kutai 1 case, and 11 other cases in the city of Samarinda. Total confirmed positive cases today 1,250 cases," Andi said.
Andi explained, today, there were also 34 patients recovering from Covid-19. Thus, the total number of patients recovered to 808 cases. "For the confirmed cases of Covid-19 patients who died there were 28 cases. And, which is still treated 414 cases," concluded Andi.
