Entrepreneurs Encourage Residents to Follow Health Protocols So DKI Does Not Return PSBB

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has decided on a Transitional Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB), from 12 - 25 October 2020. This decision refers to the evaluation results of the DKI Jakarta Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force which states that there is a slowdown in the increase in positive cases.

Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Kadin Advisory Council, Sarman Simanjorang, welcomed the decision of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to reopen the PSBB, and it is believed that the economy of Jakarta will be vibrant again. The public is also asked to adhere to health protocols.

"The economy of Jakarta will start to get excited. Because yesterday's restrictions can be lifted, meaning that consumers no longer have to take away, consumers can enjoy various dishes directly," Sarman told Liputan6.com, Sunday (11/10).

Even though the health protocol remains strict, entrepreneurs are relieved to be given leeway to try to return to the transitional PSBB period. Meanwhile, Sarman hopes that the Covid-19 cases in Jakarta can continue to fall.

"Our hope is that the covid-19 cases will continue to decline so that this will no longer return to the tightened PSBB," he said.
