Showcase Sunday: The Corridor + Lots of Process
This piece was originally spread across three posts where I time lapsed the entire process except for one part where the capture software crapped out. Here it is the process in order in pics and videos.
And here's where things ended up. Somewhere in there there's a jump where the capture software screwed up, but the vast majority of the process is in there.
This was a fun project. Hallways like this are pretty fun, because it's pretty quick to make. All in all this took around 8 hours. It's really just the one section repeated obviously but you can get something that looks like something pretty quickly.
In other news, 2019 is almost over. I'm sure I'll do more posts before New Year so I won't get all reflective just yet, but more than the year, it's the end of a decade. Lot's happened in the world this decade. Some awesome, some, not so much. I'll start thinking about something interesting and all reflecty to write about...maybe.
See you all in the next post.
Great work mate, glad to hear you had some fun. I hope this wasn't as tedious compared to your nature-related renders recently, because I'd like to see more sci-fi work from you :-)
The lighting dynamics work really well here, and it adds to the mysteriousness of the whole landscape. It reminds me of walking around (city) space-station in Dead Space 2, just shifting around and popping some aliens!
