Watercolor + Line Art in Sketchbook
Blending primary colors together to make the other colors in a composition works more harmoniously than using a large number of pre-mixed colors. Having many different factory-mixed greens on one palette is superfluous, in my experience. Better to mix two different blues with a yellow, or mix a tiny bit of red to much more yellow, then add blue in varying quantities.
Almost everything I've learned about art theory and the basics of art comes from books and self-guided exploration; I do not claim any expertise in the field (--yet). By the way, your tips and suggestions are always welcome at enternamehere.
These line art coloring exercises can also be a doorway to letting my mind wander into "The Zone", where I am free to dream and create without limitations.
