I thought it would on the beta site, could be that it didn't work this time and @asgarth fixed it now but it just didn't do it for my post since it was before the fix.
But I agree this would be better if that's not the case.
On the beta website should be fixed. The whole content is not cloned, but linked. Try refreshing the page, should work.
