WEEKLY COOKING CONTEST #03// TINOLANG MANOK WITH MALUNGGAY AND LEMONGRASS
Hello fellow steemians, Good day to you all! This is my first time posting in this community. And I would like to join the weekly cooking contest that is initiated by sir @sabbirrr. And for my entry, allow me to share to you my simple yet delicious and nutritious recipe of mine. It is called as Tinolang Manok with Malunggay and Lemongrass.
Nutritious in a since that Malunggay or horse radish has many benefits to our health and also with the lemongrass.
And I prefer to cook this food because it is good for our health and my children love to eat this kind of food.
Below are the ingredients needed:
- lemongrass
- onion
- malunggay or horse radish leaves
- ginger
- salt
- umami seasoning
- chicken meat
Cooking Procedures and Preparations:
- Clean the chicken meat, wash thoroughly with water
- Clean all the spices and wash with water
- Cut all the spices according to your desired sizes. See the pictures below:
- Prepare the cooking utensil and equipments
- Get the casserole and put first the onion and ginger followed by the chicken meat then cover it.
- Put the casserole into the stove then heat. Allow to boil itself for 5 minutes.
- Add 1 liter of water and put the lemongrass and cover it.
Allow to boil for about 30 minutes until the chicken meat becomes tender or smooth
- Add the malunggay leaves, chilli pepper, and the spring onion and mixed it.
- Add the seasonings. 2 teaspoon of salt and small drops of umami seasoning and try to taste for best result. Then mixed it.
