Farmer is Working - Photography Contest [The Steemit City]

Hello everyone.
Hope you all doing great today.

The farmers we are gonna see today are truly incredible. They are collecting salt all day under the sun.
These salt ponds are located in Maras, in Peru. Not far from Cusco.
They are used since pre-Inca times. And were traditionally available to any person wishing to harvest salt.

Traditionally, one pond was for one family and families that are new to the community wishing to propitiate a salt pond get the one farthest from the community.

Once harvested, the salt is stocked in a shed and ready to be shipped.

Both this place and the people that are working in it really are amazing.
