ScamAlert!!! and Instruction to to stay protected from these

Hello, members of the Steemit City community! Recently, in various communities, we've observed some phishing comments concerning the phony reward pool. All of these are phishing links. Please do not click on any of these links!!!

Bittorrent has never announced any kind of this event yet. So, don't click any of these links. If you have any doubt, you should check their social community links BitTorrent Inc for twitter , BitTorrent Inc. for Facebook,BittorrentToken for reddit,BitTorrent Inc. for Telegram

Who is scammers?

You may notice most of these scammer's are already active steemians. Perhaps their account was hacked and they were unaware that it was in the hands of a scammer organization. These kind of scammer organization usually spread their phishing link through social media. Mostly they use telegram's big group(number of subscriber), facebook messenger group or public page/group, twitter comment, Discord private message. There they first send/ drop comment with phishing link.

How the scammers obtained access to your account:

• If you are in other social media platform like facebook, telegram, whatapp. There these scammer share this phishing link. You may enter secret password and meanwhile scammers got access.

• Most of us has a tendency to save our password in the browser . I don't think these browsers are save for security purpose.

• Some people love to save their passwords in messenger, which is not appropriate following Facebook's controversy over selling information.

What must you do in order to stay protected from these scammers

• Don't click those phishing Link

• If you saved your password in the browser then remove it and also from extension .

• If you save your password in the messenger or any other social media platform then update your account password and save it offline .

• If you detect these kind of phishing comments, mention The Steemit City Community moderators or your local nation CR's or steemitblog.

• If you noticed these kind liquorish reward/airdrop then you must check their official community account to make sure if there is any kind of these announcement exist/not.

• Follow steemitblog and their latest announcement.

What Steemitblog Can Do?

I suggest that another formal announcement on this issue should be made by steemitblog. It will raise awareness among all Steemians.
