Dharmashala is one of the major tourist spot in Himachal Pradesh state in India. We have started our vacation by traveling by train from Kolkata to Amritsar city in Punjab which is famous for the Golden temple of the Sikh community. From Amritsar, we hired a car and drive to Dharmashala. The nearest railway station to Dharamshala is Pathankot. There is an airport in Dharamshala - Dharamshala airport (DHM).

From Dharamshala, Kulu, Manali, Manikaran, Macleodgunj can be visited. The residence of his highness Dalai Lama is in Dharamshala.
