This is my entry for the COOKING CONTEST WEEK#09: SHARE YOUR COOKING EXPERIENCE held by @sabbirrr
Besides being famous for its unique customs and culture, Aceh also has many traditional foods that are very tasty and delicious and this is one of the typical Acehnese foods that I want to share with you, namely vermicelli kuah tuhe.
Too make Acehnese vermicelli (Mie hun KuahTuhe) is very easy and simple.
The ingredients for making Acehnese vermicelli (mie hun Kuah Tuhe):
- vermicelli
- banana
- jackfruit
- coconut
- pandan leaves
Step 1
Prepare a pot then cook hot water then pour it into the vermicelli, wait a few minutes until the vermicelli becomes mushy after that remove the vermicelli and strain.
Step 2
The third step take the coconut then grate and squeeze the coconut milk.
Step 3
Put the coconut milk into the pot then add some pandan leaves and cook over medium heat until the coconut milk boils.
Step 4
Cut the banana in the shape of a sirung, cut one banana into 3 or 4 parts then peel the jackfruit and cut it into pieces too, you can cut it according to your taste.
Step 5
After the coconut milk boils, add the bananas and jackfruit then add sugar to taste, then stir briefly for 30 seconds so that the bananas and jackfruit don't crumble then the vermicelli soup is ready to be served.
Finally, serve the vermicelli and coconut milk and enjoy.
