We all know that Bangladesh is a major agricultural country. Therefore, the role of farmers is the most behind the development in different areas of Bangladesh. About 5% of the total population of Bangladesh lives in villages and about 90% of them are engaged in agriculture. The agricultural sector plays an important role in the growth of 19.1% of the GDP of Bangladesh. Most of the farmers in Bangladesh cultivate paddy and jute crops but many farmers cultivate wheat, tea, sugarcane, potato and various vegetables in large quantities knowing the weather. For the production and processing of crops, farmers use various modern agricultural technologies which are making them more productive.Now I will share with you the pictures of different working moments of different farmers of our village and tell about their work.

Farmers are sowing paddy seeds

In this picture you can see a farmer sowing rice seeds. Before producing paddy, it is necessary to give beautiful rice seeds. Seedlings are produced from the seeds of that paddy. Then the rice seedlings have to be planted in the paddy field.Paddy is a cash crop in our village. Due to which the farmers cultivate paddy in our village baromasi. Due to higher prices of paddy this year, farmers in our village have become more interested in paddy cultivation.Many farmers in our village have become subsistence farmers by cultivating paddy.

This farmer works for 500 rupees daily. He will take Rs.500 from his owner for sowing the seeds of this paddy.After four to five days of sowing the rice seeds, seedlings will start sprouting from the rice seeds. After 5 to 6 weeks the rice seedlings will be ready for planting.

Farmers are cutting paddy with scissors

In this picture you can see 3 farmers cutting paddy with scissors. They cut the owner's paddy in exchange for 600 rupees daily.They are cutting paddy in the very sun. That is why they are cutting paddy very slowly while harvesting. It is very difficult to harvest rice in the sun. Since these farmers are very hardworking, they are cutting paddy ignoring the sun. After harvesting the paddy for a while, they rest and start harvesting again.

Only those who live in rural areas can see the beautiful scenery of this rice harvest. If one goes to that place while harvesting paddy, he can dry the aroma emanating from the golden paddy.

Farmers are threshing paddy with the help of threshing machine

In this picture you can see two farmers threshing paddy with the help of threshing machine.These farmers thresh the rice of another owner with his machine just like anything else.However, they do not take money for this, they thresh paddy. By threshing paddy, they take one tenth of the total paddy.There are many such machines in our village.They go to the houses of the big farmers in our village i.e. those who cultivate a lot of paddy and thresh the paddy.

After harvesting the paddy from the field, the farmers tie the paddy and tie it on the head and place it on a high place. Then the owners of this machine brought a threshing machine and started threshing the paddy with an electrical net in that place.

Farmers are preparing the land

You can see in this picture a farmer preparing his small land for sowing rice seeds.He is a small farmer. He has very little paddy land.That is why he is preparing the land for sowing a small amount of paddy seeds in a small place. In order to prepare his land, he first plowed the land with a spade.Before sowing rice seeds, the land has to be well prepared and the land has to be leveled nicely. Moreover, good seedlings are not produced from rice seeds.

When the land is ready, he will bring his paddy seeds from home and sow them in this land. He first soaked his rice seeds in water and left them at his house one day. After keeping it for one day, he will sow the seeds in the field.

Farmers are sowing fertilizer

In this picture you can see a farmer sowing manure in his paddy field.Fertilizer should be sown in the paddy field one to two weeks after planting. Moreover, paddy seedlings do not grow fast in paddy lands. After transplanting the paddy seedlings in the field, it is necessary to apply fertilizer to the land only once or three times in total.This farmer has planted paddy saplings in his land with the help of laborers. And now he is applying fertilizer in the paddy field himself.

If the seedlings are not taken care of regularly after planting in the land, then the yield of paddy is not good. The farmers are affected. Therefore, after planting rice seedlings, the seedlings should be taken care of very well.

Farmers are clearing the land

In this picture you can see two farmers picking water hyacinth from their land. He is basically clearing his land to cultivate paddy on his land.The most important thing to get good yield from paddy is to prepare the paddy land well.The owner of this land cultivates paddy seedlings once a year and fills his land with water for the remaining 6 months. For those six months he farmed fish on his land. He was cleaning his land with two farmers when the water dried up.

When the water hyacinth is cleared from the land, he brings a power tiller and cultivates the land. Then prepare to plant rice seedlings in this land with a ladder. He pays these two farmers 600 rupees daily for this work.

Farmers are clearing the land for planting kachu.

You can see in this picture two farmers clearing the land. They are basically clearing thin grass from their land. He will cultivate kachu in this land. Before cultivating kachu, the grass should be cleaned well from the land and the yield of kachu will not be good. He had earlier cultivated sugarcane on this land. Due to the cultivation of sugarcane, a lot of grass grew in his land. For this reason he is clearing the grass from his land after cultivating his land with a power tiller machine. After clearing the grass, he will cultivate kachu on his land with the help of a laborer.

Kachu is a kind of vegetable in our village. Many people in our village have become self-sufficient by cultivating kachu. The price of kachu in our village is a little higher this year as compared to last year.The people of our village love to eat kachu in curry.
