How Are You Enjoying The Rainy Days Contest - I Love Rainy Days!
Hi everyone. This is my entry to @wo-photography's contest "How Are You Enjoying The Rainy Days". I just read about it and decided to give it a try. Maybe you would be interested too. Check out the link here.
So how am I enjoying the rainy days?
I love clouds! And rainy day clouds are one of my favorites. When it is about to rain I always take photos of the dark and impending clouds. There's so much power and majesty in them that I am always in awe.
Photo above was taken outside our house where I regularly exercise. It's the one with the red roof on the right side.
The photo below was taken later that afternoon at the parking lot of one of the malls in our city. This was a really heavy downpour which flooded the side streets of the mall.
But let's start from the top. Mornings are garden time for me. On rainy mornings I enjoy the exquisite beauty of raindrops on roses.
The roses are my daughter's. She learned how to propagate them through stem cuttings and now she has over 2 dozens of them in the garden. What a joy to watch. And I always notice the beauty of the reflections created on the pools of water that form in the ground.
Photo above are reflections of some of the plants we have in the garden while below is a reflection of one of our temple trees. We have three of these.
Or reflections on the parking lot of one of our favorite malls in the city after the heavy downpour.
Every night I feed a street cat we named Midnight. She doesn't want to go inside to eat despite my efforts to convince her. So I feed her outside the gate. On rainy nights like this I go out with an umbrella to give her her food. I took shadow pictures this time of myself and Midnight.
As I entered the gate after feeding Midnight I noticed also another reflection of some of my daughter's rose plants. See photo below.
And this is how I spend rainy days outside the house. After everything is done, I sit in front of the computer to do my daily postings in Steem while enjoying a delicious glass of Dalgona Coffee.
Ooops didn't realize I drank it all while making this post.
That's all folks. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you @wo-photography for this opportunity. Keep safe and may you all have a wonderful cool rainy day today.
