  • You can see in this picture that two fishermen are standing on a boat in the middle of the river and one fisherman is sitting. They are using boats to catch fish from the river with Chinese duar. These fishermen catch fish from the river every afternoon and night. They catch various types of native fish such as pabda, baim, putti, shrimp, tengra, kakchi, tatkeni, piyali, etc. from this river.

  • The Chinese duars they are using to catch fish from the river are the duars they have bought from the market. The specialty of these Chinese duars is that the duars are attached one by one so that it is easy to catch fish from the river.

  • You can see in the picture a farmer pulling a ladder on the cultivated land. This farmer is leveling the soils of the cultivated land with a ladder. He is using a wooden ladder made of bamboo and a silver bowl to level the soil of the cultivated land. He tied a rope to a ladder made of bamboo, pressed a soil-filled bowl on the ladder, and pulled the ladder to level the ground.

  • This farmer first irrigates his land, then cultivates his land with a power tiller for the purpose of planting paddy. If the paddy land is well paralleled, it is convenient to irrigate the paddy land and the paddy plants are good so the farmers take their paddy land well parallel.

  • You can see in the picture a farmer working in the field. This farmer is working in his owner's kachu field. He is eradicating the kachu, that is, he is giving the soils of the kachu land at the base of the kachu tree. The soil is piled up with soil at the base of the kachu tree along the line. The main reason for giving soil at the base of kachu tree is that it holds more kachu at the base of kachu tree and as a result the yield of kachu increases.

  • This time the kachu trees have got better in this land. It is hoped that kachu will also catch well at the base of kachu trees and the farmer will benefit.

  • You can see in the picture that many fishing traps are tied together on a boat in the river and another boat is going through the river by the side of this boat. These are native fishing traps. The names of these fishing traps are Duar. All the fishermen who fish in the rural areas of Bangladesh make these fishing traps with nets and bamboo.

  • These fishing traps can be made in a very short time and very easily and at low cost so the people in the rural areas of Bangladesh make these traps for fishing. People in almost all parts of Bangladesh fish to get such traps from rivers, canals and beels.
