Our country was ruled by the Jomidars (Landlords) during the colonial period of British. After 1947, almost all of the landlords started losing their power and control over the lands and after the 70th decade, there was no landlords left.

The photo I shared above is the abandoned house of the Jomidar of Baishroshi. Baishroshi is in Sadarpur, Faridpur district. Though the landlord had ultimate power once, now the condition of his house is so poor. The land is now owned by the government of Bangladesh.
