Story story!!
There lived a beautiful girl named Amara. Amara Amara had many good qualities like been intelligent, hardworking, beautiful, and always cheerful.

Amara had one hidden quality or character that no one knows. she loved attention so much, maybe even more than her daily food.

But guess what she didn't like the loud, dramatic kind of attention. She simply loved being noticed. She loved when people greeted her first, commented on her new hairstyle, her clothes or asked how her day was going.

One Monday morning, Amara posted a beautiful picture of herself on social media. She had spent nearly an hour choosing the perfect outfit, taking dozens of photos, and selected the best from them.

After she posted it, she moved on to do something else that doesn't in other phone. After 5 minutes she picked up her phone to check how many views or likes or even share.

Only two persons had views it but didn't like it. After another 10 minutes, she checked again and it was 5 views and two likes. After 30 minutes, it was 15 views and 7 likes.
"she frowned"

Her friend Chioma, known as the hype babe, always hyping Amara, commenting on almost everything posted by Amara didn't even view it.

She made excuses like "Maybe she hasnt seen it" or maybe she isn't online.

3 hours passed and nothing from her friend. She started thinking aloud. "Did I offend her?" "Does she dislike my picture?"

She couldn't even sleep that night, the next morning she quickly called her friend chioma

"Are we okay?" Amara asked.
"Of course," Chioma replied. "Why?"

"You didn't comment on my post."
There was a long silence.
Then Chioma burst into laughter.
"Amara, was at my cousin's wedding yesterday. I barely touched my phone all day."

Amara felt embarrassed. All that worry because of one missing comment.

The next week Amara attended an even wearing a beautiful outfit and something similar to that to the last time happened. Nobody noticed her or her outfit to even comment about it.

She started feeling awkward and about disappointed all through the event. Suddenly an elderly lady approached her and asked her if she was alright.

She was sincere enough to tell the woman that no one noticed her beautiful outfit as she walked in.

The woman smiled and replied. "When I was your age, I also loved attention. Then I learned something important."

"What was it?" Amara asked.

The woman replied, "Attention is like dessert. It is sweet and enjoyable, but it cannot be your main meal.

If your happiness depends on other people noticing you, you will always be hungry."

Those words hit Amara very deep. At that moment Amara realized she has built her happiness around the opinions of others.

From that day onward she made a great decision to live her life with or without complements.
