They is a system called Almajiranci , where children are send within the age of 4-10 years to far distance in search of knowledge with no sort of financial support. How these children suffer is by begging for food and clothes to survive.
Picture of some children in this Almajiranci system.
Note: This above picture is taken by me.
With one steem which is around 200 naira, I will be able to feed a young boy in this Almajiranci system of education for a whole day. Food is the major challenge this children face every day. These children are under feed and they eat anything they can ley they hands on which are mostly rejected (spoiled) food and in most cases these children have no choice than to eat them. It really a sad situation and over the years the government has made little effort in tackling this challenge.
- With one steem I will be able to afford food such as beans cake and pap, varieties of fruits such as banana and watermelon. These food item can feed a child for one day.

- Another way where one steem can be effectively use to better the lives of these children is by buying them good clothes. After feeding, clothing is the next important thing to these children. Most of them repeat the same torn clothes every day. The little chance of getting a new cloth is when someone gift them their used clothes which are mostly in bad condition.
I will be about to buy a good used cloth (a shirt and trouser) for the price of one steem.
I know one audience reading this will been wondering where are the parent of this children. The truth is most of this parent are villagers who believe the rich people in the city can feed their children. This assumption is not true because even people living in the city also find it difficult to feed and clothes themselves every day.
