My favorite food is rice. I like rice due to it nutritional value. It contains carbohydrates that are useful to me as growing personal.

Rice can be used to prepare many dishes. However, I always want it rich and tasty so I like jollof rice and roast chicken. Because of my love for this dish, I have learnt how to prepare it very well.

To prepare jollof rice and roast chicken to be taken by family of three, start with the roast chicken. The recipe includes the following: dressed chicken, salt, pepper, fifty grammes of butter or margarine and one onion.

Having got all these items ready, wipe the inside and outside of the kitchen with a damp cloth. After that stuff the neck with the condiments already blended. Make that you secure the wings of the chicken with a skewer. Place chicken meat in a tray and sprinkle it with salt and pepper and cover it with grease-proof paper of kitchen foil. Place it on a shelf below center of a moderately hot oven. Allow it roast for 25 minutes and another 20 minutes over. Remove the covering paper 40 minutes before cooking time. Baste it well and return it to the oven for it to brown after which it becomes well roasted.

Having finished with your roast chicken, Get ready with these ingredients: 2 small onions, 2 teaspoons of curry paste, half pint of stock or water, pepper, 2 cups of long grain rice, salt, 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, 4 spoons of curry powder, 1 tablespoonful of flour and 1 big tomato fruit.

Go on to peel your onions. Wash the onions and the tomato and chop them. Place the saucepan on fire and allow the cooking oil to heat. Add peeled and chop onions to the oil and cook until the colitis of the onions turn golden but not brown. Add your curry powder and paste to the oil on fire and stir for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the spoonful of flour and continue stirring. When all seemed blended, add stock or water. Let it boil a little and then add 1 teaspoonful of salt, tomato and pepper. Cover it and regulate the fire for it to cook gently, stirring it from time to time. Allow the stew to cook for about 10 minutes.

At this stage, prepare Your jollof rice this way. Rinse the 2 cups of rice with cold water. Get your rice cooker ready. Pour the cooked stew into the rice cooker that is already plugged. Add the wash and rinse long grain rice to the stew curry and stir for it to be well blended. Allow it to cooked for 30 to 40 minutes.

Remove the rice from the fire and serve it into three plates together with the roast chicken that makes a nice dish for a family of three
