RE: Learning to do it myself

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE14 days ago (edited)

Those damned bed bottoms rarely last long. I remember how I bought beds and replaced it all within one week. If I can't even sit on it without hearing an alarming noise no way I will sleep on it. If you ask me it's done on purpose.
I slept for many years on a mattress on the floor. It's way saver just cold during winters.

You two did a great job.

How did you get 3.60 meters home?

I wish the two of you sweet dreams.

These woods I bought are rigid, pine. I was also on the floor sleeping with my mattress on a rug, on the floor, but it was very difficult for me to get up from there, because of my overweight. The alternative was not very good.
I asked my nephew, who has his truck, to take me to the lumber yard. There I found out about these boards and bought them. We took her home.
Then I asked a friend to lend me her wood cutting instrument. The man who works at home did the most work, following my measurements and my instructions, everything turned out very well.
With the exception that I have been left with intercostal neuritis after lifting weight. It was worth it.

It was a good decision to repair the bottoms. It's better to sleep a bit higher and a pity not using the beds. I must say at times I cannot stand up easy either but this is not due overweight. Can be I walk too much lately or stand too much since there are times I also cannot walk the stairs. I will call it being tired or getting old unless the old health issues are back and it's back in bed again.

I wish you super night rests. It all starts with that.

🍀♥️

Before I liked to sleep with the mattress on the floor, it was firm and my spine appreciated it. Now I can't get up from the floor. I try too hard to get up and injure my knees more. So a good bed base has been the solution.
I haven't been able to buy my walking shoes yet, but I have a better night's sleep, which translates into spending a better day awake and energized.
I hope your old health problems don't come back. I remember perfectly that you even feared that you would die at any moment due to your serious health problems.

It's good to hear you have better nights thanks to the bed. Painful knees are terrible. I also sleep better on the floor, I do believe it's better for the spine but the cold and draft are a huge problem to me.

A few weeks ago, two people in a row (among them was one daughters) said they thought I would die soon. Well, I am still around, although it seems I am running out of lives.
Today I went out with a friend, and I gave him the shock of his life as I collapsed due to pain (I was just in time to lay down on the floor).
I wish you all the best, restful nights and a warm hug .

Oh my god, that sounds bad! I wouldn't want to be in your friend's place. Witnessing someone fall to the floor in severe pain is truly distressing.
