Introduction

Good day everyone and how are we all doing today, it's another exciting day as the week is gradually progressing.

Today on my blog I would be participating in the review of rural transport 2 I have to say I am always glad when contest like this comes up as it offers me the avenue to promote knowledge and also creates create quality content for all those reading.

Many of us today were born in the city and most likely
have lived all our life's in the city , hence we have a shallow mind set of the various means of transportation that exists outside the city.

We have to understand that in the rural area thing are a bit different, the popular means of transportation such as high speed trains, helicopter, jets and the other would most likely not be seen in such locations.

The means of transportation in rural areas are more simple and less advanced as those you would see in the city this is so because of a variety of reasons.

The topography in most rural areas are usually very difficult to navigate, we take for example the high lands in Mongolia, this terrain is filled with valleys and cliffs that makes it almost impossible for the establishment of a high speed rail track.

The cost alone of laying tracks and sand filling the land would be astronomical hence dissuading any who tries to perform such project.

The use of advanced means of transportation in the rural areas proves to me detrimental to the eco system in the rural areas.

In the city we find they to be a shortage of wide life as constant pollution from various means of transportation such as sound for air crafts, tree felling for train track contsuction, carbon dioxide from motor vehicles, all this are detrimental to the wide life and nature.

Hence in order to preserve the widelife in the rural areas such methods of transportation are discouraged.

The people in the rural environment try to live simple lifes , hence the ability to operate advanced form of transportation equipment is often problematic.

In the rural areas most individuals are often uneducated and as such Thier technical skills is greatly limited which makes the process of operating transport equipments like a train really difficult.

Since in the rural environment the use of advanced form of transportation is greatly limited they therefore have to use simple equipments in the the transportation of goods and persons from one place to another.

The use of wheelbarrow

The wheelbarrow is a very simple equipments used by those in the rural area for transportation of goods from one location to another.

The process of operating a wheelbarrow is very simple and easy to use that even those who are uneducated are capable of operating this peice of equipment.

The wheelbarrow is a very common transport equipments in the rural area and this is because it is primarily very cheap , you can get a wheelbarrow for as low as ₦16,000 (40 steem).

In addition to the wheelbarrow being very affordable once purchased it doesn't need feul for the continued operation like modern transport

1. One big big tyre : this tyre is in charge of the movement of the wheelbarrow.

2. Stand : this helps the wheelbarrow to stay firm in the ground when you want to put load inside

3. Handle : with the handle we are able to control the direction of the wheelbarrow.

4. Loading area : this is the location whereby goods which are to be transported are being kept.

Motorcycle

The motorcycle is one of the most popular form of transportation in the rural area, this is so because it can serve as a means for transportation of people and also for the transportation of goods.

Primarily the motorcycles are very versatile as they are able to go through the most difficult of terrian and also have the ability or pass through tight spaces.

While the wheelbarrow requires the use of physical strength for the movement from place to place the motorcycle has a small engine just beneath the sit which enables the motorcycle to move very quickly from place to place.

The motocycle is the advanced form of the wheelbarrow while the wheelbarrow has only one wheel the motorcycle has two wheels one in the front and one in the back.

The average cost of a motorcycle in Nigeria goes for around 200,000 Naira (1000 steem) as you can see this is a little bit more expensive than the price of wheelbarrow but it offers unique advantages and it is the choice transportation means for those who have a little extra spare

5. Mini engine : this is located under the drivers sit of the motorcycle and responsible for the movement the vehicle.
