And there was a cry! It's a baby boy said the native nurse. The King was happy. As tradition in the olden days, a new born child would be taken to the seer to check his/her destiny. After confirming the child's destiny, the seer was dumb founded. Speak, the King Adewale shouted. The seer said

This boy is born with bad luck.

King Adetusa (the king of kutuje): Which bad luck? Tell me, so we can know what to do

The boy will kill his father and marry his mother

The mother started crying. The king was sad. What can we do to avert this curse on him seer, the king asked.

That is his destiny. Nothing can change it. If nothing can be done, then I will change his destiny with my own hands said the king.

The king and the wife left the seers hut and went to the palace. The king instantly ordered 3 guards to take the boy to the forest and kill him. The guards did as instructed. The mother cried profusely while at the same time lamenting.

"Oh!, the gods has forsaken me. How can I can I carry my baby for 9 months only to born him with a bad luck and a curse. The gods are wicked. She kept crying". The king tried to pacify his wife but all to no avail.

After sometime, she was able to forget about his son and they had several children afterwards with good destiny, and they all live happily.

There was a very far village from King Adetusa's kingdom. Their main occupation is farming and hunting. A young hunter named Adewale come from a poor family. His parents are old but he love them dearly. One day, he heard an information, and decided to run away from home. His friend cautioned him but he refused to listen. He left his parent and began a new journey of life.

King Adetusa was long dead. The villagers are in deep shit as the neighboring villages kill and take them as slaves. While Adewale was wandering around, he entered the land of Kutuje. He met war and decided to join the kutuje people. He led them to war and he conquered. Because of his bravery, the chiefs made him the King of kutuje. According to the tradition of the land, any new king on the throne can decide to marry the queen. So Adewale married the late kings wife (The Queen) and had children through her.

.......................................................................................

After some years, plague struck the village. Sickness upon accidents. There was no good harvest. Everything started going odd and the villages kept dyeing. The king sent for a seer to seek the gods on their behalf to know the right sacrifice to appease them because he thinks the gods are angry with them. When the seer came, he started talking as if he was mad. He said the person cursed is in the palace.

All the chiefs were afraid. The king rose and said, "If you know you've done anything wrong, it's better you confess now or else!

The whole palace was silent. The seer broke the silence and called the king a murderer and a wife snatcher. The king could not take the shit from the old seer. I merit this throne. I didn't kill anyone neither did I snatch anyone's wife. He ordered the guards to throw the old seer out.

.......................................................................................

When the king resides to his chamber, he was restless. How can the seer call me those names?

He began to investigate. Let me cut the story short.

When Adewale eavesdropped that he was going to kill his father and marry his mother, he flee from home, not knowing those he called his parent were not. When the late king Adetusa sent the guards to kill the child in the forest, they met one woman and the woman pleaded they should not kill the child after listening to the story.

One of the guards pretended as if he has killed the boy and gave him to the woman. That boy is Adewale. Those he thought were his parents were not.

Adewale had an encounter with an old man on his close to EDE concerning a plot of land for farming. The old man fought with Adewale but he was to weak to defeat the gallant boy. At the end Adewale killed the old man and all his guards flew.

The old man he killed was his real father (King Adetusa of kutuje)

The queen he married was his mother (Queen Ojuola)

What he was destined to do came to pass. That was his destiny. Maybe if the king had left him in the palace, the what the seer said about his destiny would not come to pass. But something must happen for something to happen. The king tried to disallow the destiny from manifesting, and ended up channeling it towards the path needed for it to be fulfilled.

.....................................................................................................

King Adewale was sad. He plucked his two eyes and left the palace with the children his mother had for him. What a tragedy.

Now, who is to blame. king Adetusa, the seer, Adewale, or the gods
