I used to multitask. But it made me less productive. Then I decided to focus on one task per time. But tell me why I move on to completing a 3-day task for one project. I can no longer stand up until I've finished and seen the end product.
Meanwhile, did you draw those? Are they walk art for the house?
I believe that if we are busy we multitask. It's like listening to music (are we listening?) and mopping the floor at the same time or preparing a meal.
At times, it helps (walking/bicycling and listening to music) but it can also distract.
I know I do it mostly on those days I start later or when I don't know how to continue or lack time.
For example, the wood.. it's 30K kilo way too much to do it in one day so I tell myself 5 per day only to keep the spirit. LOL
If it comes to painting, I mostly lack the time so I start with quick ones.
What you see is a background and on the last picture a part of the painting (not finished). The stripes and dots are kind of marks to know where to paint, most of it will be covered by a next layer. Can be I keep the first background this way and the last one is a test (the present will be a bit different).
Right now I wash paper green in between other tasks (cooking included), since it goes quickly (only a few minutes), but the rest will take time to focus, which takes more time
Do you paint too?
