[Learn With Steem Journal - First Edition] : Are You Utilizing your Talent and Asset? (12.04.2022)

The world we are living in is full of humans and blessed with natural resources. While we humans have no control over some natural resources, we can decide what to do with our talent and asset—our power. Interestingly, Some though, have used their talents in a great way and as a result of that, they have benefited themselves and humanity as a whole. Now the big question is how can you get the best out of your talent? This little piece of mine is quite enlightening, I work with most of this reasoning and that’s why I decided to share my thoughts, perhaps it could be very useful to you.

If you are the most beautiful lady on Earth or you are the most intelligent man in the whole wide world, the fact is that you didn’t endow yourself with any of those assets. physical strength, intelligence, Beauty, and other abilities you may possess are just like natural resources such as gold, crude oil, bauxite, coal, and on that the creator deposited in different parts of the Earth.

And while some parts of Mother Earth are fertile and blessed with natural resources, other parts are not so blessed. Does this in any way make one part of the Earth superior to others? Probably not so, depending on how Earth’s inhabitants perceive it.

If Our Mother Earth’s inhabitants really love and care for one another, the unevenly distributed natural resources will cater to the needs of all creation on this planet. And no part of the Earth will have to brag about what they received as a gift from the creator, that's how I look at it.

You see, Sometimes we receive a gift we never expected, a surprise package, and deep down us, we think we don’t deserve what we got. That is just the beauty of a gift—something we may not have thought of getting. And we don’t usually boast about the presents or gifts we receive, instead, we accept them in humility.

A gift is not the same as an award. We usually work for and earn awards and medals, just like we do have the best author of the year, best Community Supporter, and the best Community here on the steemit blog. And when one looks into the source of the talents or skills that made getting or winning an award possible, they dedicate it to such a person or a course in humility.

What do you have that you didn’t receive? Think. Most probably, nothing. So why do some of us who have been blessed with some beauty, for instance, think so much of Ourselves than it’s necessary? Did any of us create Ourselves, let alone make Ourselves beautiful? I don’t really think So.

As I walked the streets of Uyo this Morning, around the plaza environment, I caught sight of this beautiful young girl, more beautiful than most girls and women on the street. And possibly more beautiful than most women I’ve ever seen in this city. I got attracted to her because she was a beggar, a beggar with a Sensitive charming smile.

So I immediately began to think about life and what one can make out of it. As much as I am not sighting people using any of their assets wrongly, I also thought - While other beautiful girls wine and dine in high places with kings and become arrogant and pompous, this beautiful girl is just a humble beggar. So the question is, How are you Using your asset?

My Point Exactly is that Each person’s assets are like natural resources and if not properly utilized, they become useless if not refined. Come to think of it, Of what economic benefit or value is gold when not refined? How can you refine your talent? To start with, there will be nothing to refine if first of all, the Citizens of Nigeria are not aware that Nigeria, for example, has a good deposit of crude oil.

The same thing applies to individuals, So you have to identify your talent first. If you don’t know what your talent is, ask trusted a trusted Friend or family member.

They may likely help you know what talent you have. Next, work hard to like your talent, love your talent too, and be passionate about it, like @steemchiller and other developers are passionate about steemit blog development. Don’t be like a Nation that has a large deposit of coal but is so jealous of other Nations blessed with crude oil. Rather than focusing on getting the best of its own gift of coal, abandoned it and went investing hugely in search of crude oil. My little advice is that you identify what you have, nurture what you have, and harvest it. It works !!

How can you utilize your talent and benefit yourself and other Folks with it?

Consider a few suggestions below, and just to let you know, I ubongudofot is working so hard every day based on these tips and it is working out for me gradually, it could work for you too.

• Appreciate and value your talent

Do you understand the worth of your talent? How much is it going to contribute to Society? Then it will be relevant to place some economic value on your talent. Ask yourself, how much can I gain from this talent? Is this talent time-bound? For instance, if you are talented in the area of Content Writ, you can effectively make use of your youthful days in monetizing your talent.

• Get resources about your talent

Make extensive research on your talent and be sure of what other people have already accomplished in the field of your talent, that's the essence of your research. Try to find out, What challenges did they face and how did they cross the hurdles? Will your present environment support a career in this area? What are the chances and the options? Can you use the available? , Is it worth pursuing, and is the industry saturated?

• Be determined to succeed

Determination is the soul of success. Remember you are like a Nation endowed with just one natural resources, which is very precious. And so, you are so very determined to get the best of your talent. You really have nothing else to fall back to. Your life and your future, and your success are solely dependent on your one and only talent. Couple With the mental attitude that you have no other option, you just have to remain focused. Focus on your talent and invest your time and energy in your talent projects, it pays, if not now, maybe later.

• Aim to be creative and innovative with your talent

Creativity is very important and essential, the reason is that you are not the only one gifted with that very talent you have. You need to rebrand old things in a new way and bring in some freshness to an existing idea. There is nothing new on Earth. We all are recycling old concepts and making them appear modern according to the present situation.

For instance, while you can’t invent the wheel again, you can make your wheel look more beautiful and attractive than other wheels, in other words, you can rebrand the wheel. You can make your wheel stronger and adjustable to fit all sizes of different tires. This is creativity and innovation, this is relevant to building your talent. Also, last three weeks, Sir @pennsif introduced a challenge called ” My local News”, though it has ended, it was more of Journalism. Guess what? I thought I knew much about journalism, not until when I received almost one-month training from sir pennsif through the corrections he gave me when I wrote news, that was when I knew that, I still have a lot of things to learn, I need to adjust to those corrections/ training. This will help me to bring out more creativity in me. you can do the same? Now, this is how to be more creative.

• Get Ready to be patient with yourself and also your talent

Never be in a hurry to succeed, it doesn't work that way. Now think about this, Success can be likened to pregnancy. You will agree with me that once a woman is pregnant, she has to wait for a minimum of the expected months, which is nine months. A baby born much earlier than that is not likely going to survive except for some special intensive care, such as the use of an incubator. Our ideas are like an embryo that needs to be nurtured over a period of time to maturity. If you exercise patience with your talent, your target will enjoy a steady growth that can weather the storm of any embarrassing failure. I have not arrived at the success on the steemit blog yet, but I will say, I am working so hard, patiently to that level. The bottom line here is Patient and hard work.
