🌙 𝓔𝓲𝓭 𝓜𝓾𝓫𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓴 𝓔𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂𝓸𝓷𝓮 🌹
Hello steemians. This Eid-ul -Adha , holds a special place in my heart as it marks the first time I am celebrating away from my parents and in laws . Although separated by distance, the spirit of Eid remains strong, connecting us all with love and cherished memories.

This year, circumstances led my husband to be posted in Chittagong, far from our hometown. He was unable to arrange vacation time, so my daughter, husband, and I spent the most of our time touring the city and building new traditions.

The day began with an early start. While my husband left for the Eid prayer, I prepared myself for the day's festivities. We were fortunate to have a delicious breakfast provided at the officer's mess, filling our hearts and stomachs with joy. With our spirits high, we ventured outside to capture the essence of Eid through photographs and embarked on a scenic long drive.

Although physically separated from our loved ones, technology bridged the gap as we made numerous phone calls, wishing family and friends a joyous Eid Mubarak. It brought a sense of comfort knowing that despite the distance, we were still connected, sharing in the blessings of this auspicious occasion.

Back in Dhaka, my parents, sisters, and in-laws celebrated Eid without us, feeling a void just as we did. It was a bittersweet realization that we were missed and missed them dearly. Nonetheless, we held onto the hope that future Eids would bring us together again, strengthening the bonds that unite us as a family.
As evening approached, we had the pleasure of attending a formal Eid party at the officer's mess. The air was filled with warmth and camaraderie as fellow officers and their families came together. Laughter, excitement, and the perfume of exquisite dishes filled the air. It served as a reminder that even in strange places, a sense of connection and camaraderie could be found.

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the mouthwatering "Korbanir Mangsho" (sacrificial meat) prepared for the occasion. Although the cooking was excellent, the flavours of my mom's traditional meals couldn't quite compare. However, it gave us the chance to sample the flavours of our local cuisine, which brought back fond memories of home.

Our emotions ranged widely throughout the course of the day. While we occasionally felt nostalgia and desire for the past, we also occasionally felt grateful for the opportunities we had. Eid celebrations away from home gave us a fresh perspective and taught us how to value family time and embrace the new friendships we established along the road.

As the day came to a close, we reflected on the beauty of this journey. While we missed the familiarity of our hometown celebrations, we recognized that our love for Eid transcends borders and geographical boundaries. It was a day that demonstrated the adaptability and capacity of the human spirit to find joy in any situation.

Even if this year's Eid may be different, the core message remains the same. We have grown to cherish these principles even more as a result of this experience, and it is a time of unity, compassion, and thanks. We excitedly anticipate the future in the hope that it would soon bring us together with our loved ones so that we can celebrate Eid in the comfort of our family's embrace.
