I believe that everything in life has levels, even friendships. Finding unconditional friends is not easy; and as you say, it is difficult when they exceed the number 10, hehe.
I told my daughter as she lost her only friend in primary school to not focus on 1 person only. There are so many who can offer her something.
It's hard to be the perfect friend and be in stand by mode 24/7.
It's an impossible task on the long run. Not only for a friend but also for yourself. I know I can't help others 24/7 since I have a life, get tired, need extra sleep and peace of mind.
From that moment on she spread her chances she has different friends to undertake something, to work with or talk to. The only problem that remains is she tries to be there for them 24/7 and that doesn't always work out great with a personal life and family.
Ciertamente, pero los buenos amigos, no tienen por qué verse y escribirse todos los días. Solo hay que estar en el momento preciso y hacerle sentir al otro que nunca estará solo.
Nunca veo ni hablo a diario con mis dos mejores amigas, quizá una vez al año o menos. Vivimos en países diferentes, pero si nos encontramos es como si el tiempo se hubiera detenido. Incluso puede ser difícil estar ahí en caso de necesidad, pero lo intentamos y nunca sentimos rencor si no es así.
Parece mentira, pero también tengo tiempo sin compartir con mis amigos del alma. Nos hemos tenido que acostumbrar solo a unos pocos mensajes de whatsapp. Y, efectivamente, nada de reclamos ni de rencores.
Eso sí que es amistad.
